Sam Hui used to be a superstar in the 70s and 80s. He still is in many people's heart. At the time he was famous for his songs which reflected the daily life of the root of the community, as well as the life of people in a colony.
The lyrics of his music were usually humorous and could be a bit sarcastic at times. I love his songs to this day because if you turn the setting around, the lyrics can still be applied to lives of the present day - twenty years later!
Here are a few. Hope my readers will enjoy it. (Sorry that I can't provide any translation. For non-Chinese speakers, try to find some Chinese friends to translate for you...la. :))
