Memories

This song reminds me of an époque of sweetness.

On my return from a trip to Italy and Greece, I found a gift from a friend waiting for me.  It was a tape of Velvet Underground's selected music.  This is one of my favourite songs on the tape.  I'd kept onto it for many years until one day I realized I had nothing that could play this tape anymore.

[Can't remember if I still have it somewhere... but this brings me very special memories.]

Love the mood of this music.  Still love it a lot.

I think I started to love percussions because of her.  It wasn't exactly this show I saw at the time.  I think it was an MTV...but this one is just great!  At that time, I wished that I could play the drums like her!  :P

Gosh!  I feel so...... old...... ;)

Favourite Cat of All Times

Here is my favourite cat of all times.  I visit him from time to time on the net.  Just the cutest and cuddliest I've ever seen.  Don't you think so?

Mmmmmm <3 <3 <3

TV Programme - Flamenco

In January, one of the paid TV channels in Hong Kong did a short series on Flamenco - its culture.  It was a series of four episodes introducing its history and different facets including dance, instruments, and singing.

Not being able to put the videos here, here are the links to the four episodes... in Chinese!  My teacher was in there... and I was hiding somewhere in these clips too.  Bet you can't find me!

Hope you'll enjoy them.

Episode 1:  The Origin
Episode 2:  The Basic Dance Steps
Episode 3:  The Rhythm
Episode 4:  The Guitar

Want to see how Hong Kong is from high above, enter here.

I'm one of the millions who live here, in this messy looking tiny place made up of islands, and a peninsula.  The place looks messy, partly because of all the construction works going on, and partly because the day the panorama was taken isn't ideal.  Behind all those buildings, you can't imagine how much money flow in and out each day, how much traffic there is, and how many people there are.  Underground, the traffic is so busy that you can't just tell from the picture here.

This place is changing.  It's changing so fast that sometimes it's hard to catch up.  It's a place of so many opportunities, but can also be a place of dead ends.  If you are of some real substance, you'll certainly find your way to success.

I live a bit far from the crowds in the city centre.  If you see the greens behind all those buildings, I'm somewhere nearer that part.  It is a beautiful world if you enjoy hiking.  There are still a lot of places that I haven't been to and maybe I'll be there someday.

I'll be happy to give some tips if you'd like to come to visit.

BTW, in case you didn't know, the panorama was taken from the tallest building in Hong Kong.  It's a posh commercial building with the Ritz Carlton occupying the top floors.  I've never been to the deck but been to the restaurants and guest rooms there.  I can tell you that the view is really spectacular, and the hotel is chic.  Good things don't come cheap!

Enjoy!

It's a Long Road...

...was what I was thinking when I was mending my flamenco bata de cola.  This time my whole foot went through.  For those who have seen one, it's really boring and tiring to mend because you have to redo the ruffles and go all the way round until the tear is mended.  It's even more difficult when the bata is in red and black!

Anyway, I know it's silly but I just happened to be humming this song when I was mending the dress.  So I searched for it this night and thought, "what a good song!"

Here it is.  Those were the days, and I'd dedicate it to those who love it (I sounded like a DJ!  Lol!)
